Event: Leeds International Film Festival’s schedule includes A Silent Voice

Can’t hightail it to the highlands for Scotland Loves Anime this weekend? The Leeds International Film Festival is another chance to catch some of the most raved-about anime flicks from the past couple of years. The festival’s Animation Day on November 6th includes Studio Ghibli co-production The Red Turtle and Kyoto Animation’s A Silent Voice, with all screenings taking place at Leeds Town Hall’s Victoria Hall as follows:

11:00am – KizumonogatariPart 1: Tekketsu / Part 2: Nekketsu
1:45pm – Belladonna of Sadness
3:45pm – The Red Turtle (plus Father and Daughter)
8:00pm – A Silent Voice

Tickets for all above screenings cost £8.50 each, or £6.50 for concessions. A pass for the entire Animation Day (which is also showing the Spanish animation Psychonauts) can be purchased for £25, or £20 for concessions.

Looking at the rest of the festival, November 4th sees Redline screen at 7:00pm, before the Daft Punk movie INTERSTELLA 5555 leads the animation extravaganza at 9:55pm. Both will be showing at Leeds Town Hall’s Victoria Hall. There are also a number of Japanese live-actions, including Assassination Classroom: The Graduation, scheduled as follows:

November 4th – Hyde Park Picture House
3:30pm – Woman of the Dunes

November 5th – Vue in the Light
6:15pm – Harmonium

November 8th – Vue in the Light
6:00pm – Harmonium

November 9th – Hyde Park Picture House
1:00pm – Woman of the Dunes

November 10th – Vue in the Light
3:30pm – Harmonium

November 11th – Leeds Town Hall, Victoria Hall
5:30pm – Harakiri

November 13th – Hyde Park Picturehouse
6:00pm – Kids Police
8:15pm – Assassination Classroom: The Graduation

November 15th – Vue in the Light
5:45pm – Creepy

November 17th – Vue in the Light
8:00pm – Creepy
